This is the second Swing Outfit series post. Each week I will be posting a new outfit that is perfectly danceable to (hopefully) inspire you to create your own sweet swing ensembles.
Lately I’ve been obsessed with the color red. Prior to this month, I owned a total of zero red dresses. I now own three. Ridiculous, I know, but I had a moment in which I realized I wanted to wear an awesome red dress to LindyFocus this year and here we are. Red is such a warm, eye-catching color and perfect for the holidays, too.
The best thing about this particular outfit is that it cost me a total of $25. The shoes are a pair of Jeffrey Campbell shoes and were just $15 – an awesome steal. Both the shoes and dress came from Plato’s Closet. Thrifting is such an affordable way to expand your wardrobe if you just have the time to sort through all of the trash to find some treasure. (The necklace, however, was a present from my grandmother.)
This week you also get a bonus swing outfit, also from Plato’s Closet, courtesy of Lori. Tamar, Lori and I somehow all ended up wearing red to the last Monday Night Swing. Lori says it’s because we’re all on the same telepathic wavelength. (Jump on it with us!)
